BSicon LOGO Amtrak2.svg Capitol Corridor is an Amtrak California (state sponsored regional Amtrak) train service between the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Auburn. Trains run every 1 to 2 hours daily. Thruway bus connections are available to/from San Francisco, Santa Cruz, North Coast, North Valley, Reno, and Lake Tahoe.

Only coach-class seating is available. This train does not provide checked baggage service. The trains feature cafe cars where beverages and snacks are sold.

Nearly all the Capitol Corridor alignment between Sacramento and San Jose is also served by the Coast Starlight long distance train. BART connects with Capitol Corridor in Richmond and Coliseum and provides parallel service to San Jose (serving different stops).

Bicycle access bike

Cars that have a bicycle decal by the doors have a rack on the lower level that can accommodate 3 bicycles. You will need to provide your own bungee cord to secure your bike. If the bike rack is full, bikes are generally be placed and secured in vacant spaces on the lower level of the bike car.
