Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) provides "The S" bus and dial-a-ride service in Stanislaus County, serving cities of Modesto and Ceres. It is a merger of Stanislaus Regional Transit (that operated regional and rural service) and Modesto Area Express.
Regional commuter bus connection is available to Stockton, Altamont Corridor Express at Lathrop/Manteca Station, and BART at Dublin/Pleasanton Station.
